Zehn Lyrikexpertinnen und -experten wählen je einen deutschsprachigen und einen ins Deutsche übersetzten Gedichtband aus, den sie für besonders empfehlenswert halten. Für das aktuelle Jahr wurden Neuerscheinungen von März 2022 bis März 2023 beachtet. The friendship between Paul Celan and the young Romanian poet Petru Solomon, during the 1950s, is an almost unknown chapter in Celan's biography. It is due to Petre Solomon's book that we can learn about Celan's short existence in Bucharest -1945 -1947 - his work as a publisher and translator, his friendships and writing. At the Leipzig Book Fair, Edition Noack &Block is launching the German translation of Solomon's memoir volume: Paul Celan. Die rumänische Dimension.

Ernest Wichner, Heute Mai und morgen du (Schöffling Verlag, 2022), Alexandru Bulucz, Petersilie über die Seele weiß (Schöffling Verlag, 2020). Two German poets originated from Romania, belonging to different generations, speak about their recent poetry collections. Alexandru Bulucz, moved to Germany as a teenager, studied German literature and became soon one of the most appreciated poets of the young generation. He is also editor, translator and literary critic. Ernest Wichner, for many years director of Literaturhaus Berlin, is also a well known literary critic, translator and poet.

Gerhardt Csejka, literary critic and one of the most refined and versatile translators from Romanian literature into German will be remembered by friends, publishers and authors. In 2008, Csejka was awarded the well known prize of NRW foundation, for the translation of Wissenden by Mircea Cărtărescu.
