Kurzbeschreibung

"Ustine" is a multi-layered story on massacres, loses and the power of motherhood.

Beschreibung

"Ustine" is a multi-layered story. The main character is named Tina. She is an Armenian woman who survives the massacres in Istanbul, loses her husband in Bulgaria, and during a bombing in Sofia, suffocates her own daughter in her arms while trying to protect her. However, the difficulties in her life do not end there. Tina ends up in a labor camp, which is a real test of her physical and mental strength.

"Women, when they are mothers, have enormous strength. Their hearts are big. As human beings, we can overcome any difficulty as long as we have a guiding light or know that we are doing it for the sake of our children."

Justine Toms is a woman with a lot of light in her face and soul. But her first novel, "Ustine", may seem dark and sad. And between these two extremes—darkness and light—lies all the beauty of life.
This is the first novel by Justine Toms, a marketing specialist and mother of three children.
