SBA promotes SHARJAH as an international hub for literature & education in order to build a knowledge-based society/economy. Sharjah opens doors to international publishers to meet & do business with their Arab & African counterparts. Sharjah Publishing City, Sharjah International Book Fair & Publishers Conference are some of many in this respect. Translations are supported by a translation Grant of US$ 300000 annually.
